August 16, 2007: Accepted referral. Signed and notarized Power of Attorney. Delivered to Secretary of State, then couriered to Guatemalan embassy and to Agency.
August 24, 2007: Original Guatemalan Attorney concerned about a conflict of interest, reconsidered taking case. New Power of Attorney signed.
September 8, 2007: Upon further review, our original attorney was no longer concerned about our case - we're proceeding!
September 28, 2007: DNA testing done

January 29, 2008: Social Worker report completed. File ready to be submitted to PGN once agency begins accepting files.
January/February, 2008: Agonizing roller-coaster ride on the political situation in Guatemala and the openning of the Cenral Authority. CA finally opens 3 business days before the deadline and completes all registrations including ours!!

June 6, 2008: Application for Birth Certificate presented to "Registry of Guatemala" (This is an updated Birth Certificate reflecting Danny's name with our last name.)
June 24, 2008: DELAYED...Birth Certificate completed. (He is now legally a part of our family!)
July 1, 2008: obtain passport
July 4, 2008: 2nd DNA test completed
July 16, 2008: DNA match confirmed!
???: (Two weeks after DNA is taken): U.S. Embassy issues "Pink Slip" which is the appointment for Danny's travel Visa
???: (One week after Pink Slip): We travel to Guatemala to bring our sweet boy home!
June 24, 2008: DELAYED...Birth Certificate completed. (He is now legally a part of our family!)
